Enjoy a personalized degustation with chef patron, Paul Hood at Jason Atherton’s second London restaurant Social Eating House.

Michelin-starred Social Eating House offers a contemporary bistro menu in a buzzing Soho setting. The restaurant also houses an award-winning bar, The Blind Pig. It's unashamed indulgence at its best. Not only is the space beautiful, but the food is outstanding too, having been prepared by a renowned and driven chef who isn’t afraid to push limits and refine flavours.

The menu is filled with playful creativity and charm. The light snacks contain as much flavour and attention to detail as their main course counterparts. There's a sizzling intensity to the cooking here that nicely complements the lightness and brightness of the atmosphere. Traditional values are not forgotten, with classics given a fresh working over and quality ingredients clearly a key.

Chef Hood started his culinary career at Fairfield Halls in Croydon in 1996, where he learnt the ropes of working in a professional and high-pressured kitchen. After working alongside the likes of Jamie Oliver and Ben O’Dononghue, he undertook a role at The Glasshouse in Kew, where he continued to gain experience and skills.
In 2005, Hood joined Gordon Ramsay’s Maze as sous chef where he first met Jason Atherton. He was soon promoted to senior sous chef, firmly becoming Atherton’s right-hand man. When Atherton launched his first solo restaurant Pollen Street Social in 2011, Hood moved with him and was appointed as head chef. The restaurant opened to critical acclaim and was awarded its first Michelin star in 2012. Hood then helped Atheron open the Social Eating House in May 2014 which was also awarded a Michelin star the same year.
This experience will see Hood guide you and 7 guests through 8 delicious courses, with each expertly paired with a glass of wine to accentuate flavours. You’ll leave with a cookbook signed by Atherton to keep as a memento of this truly fabulous evening.
